Baptisms & Weddings

If you would like more information about baptisms (christenings) or weddings please initially call in at the Parish Office, 21 Church Street, or phone us on 01246 412328 or email The office is open weekdays, 9.30am – 12.00 noon.

For wedding arrangements in particular, the evening of the first Wednesday of each month between 7.00 pm and 8.00 pm is specifically set aside for you to discuss or to book the arrangements for your special day. If you wish to speak about an already arranged marriage or to make an initial enquiry in order to book one, then please contact the Church Office in the first instance (as above) and, if appropriate, you will be given an appointment time for you to attend on the next available Wednesday evening.

Additional information, resources and a useful ‘frequently asked questions’ section is available by visiting for weddings and for christenings.

Preparation groups are run in the parish for those who are to be married and parents asking for their children to be baptised.

Our team of clergy and lay ministers are willing to take funeral services either in Church, at the Cemetery or Crematorium. Normally the Funeral Director will contact us if you live in our parish and we will arrange to visit before the funeral. Once a year, in the autumn, we hold a special service together with the other churches of our area when we invite the families and friends of those for whom we have conducted funerals to remember those they have loved and lost.
